RTVideo is the default Microsoft codec for Office Communications Server 2007 and the Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 client. It is a proprietary Microsoft implementation of the VC-1 codec for real-time transmission. Microsoft Extensions for VC-1 are based on the technology of memory frame and SP-frame. The codec also has system level improvements for recovery in case of packet loss on IP networks - direct error correction and error concealment.
Licensing
RTVideo is a proprietary codec. Like RTAudio, it can be licensed from Microsoft.
