Placement of employment centers

As of January 1, 2016 in Burgenland there were seven regional offices (see tables 1, 2) and four professional information centers (see table 3) of the employment service: ^[1]

• The five regional offices of the Burgenland employment service ( Ennersdorf , Mattersburg , Oberwart , Oberpullendorf and Stegersbach ) coincided geographically with the political districts of Burgenland .
• The Stegersbach Employment Service , located in Stegersbach , serves the entire population and all businessmen of the Güssing political district.
• The Eisenstadt Regional Employment Services branch provides services to the public and entrepreneurs in the territories of the political district of Eisenstadt-Umgebung and the state-owned Stadt Eisenstadt and Rust .
• The regional office of the Neusiedl am See employment service serves the population and entrepreneurs of the political district of Neusiedl am See , with the exception of the political community of Brookkneudorf .
• The population and entrepreneurs of the political community of Brukkneudorf are served by the Bruck-an-der-Light Regional Employment Service Center (code 306), located in the federal state of Lower Austria .

The regional office of the Stegersbach Employment Service (code 106) included the head office in Stegersbach (code 1060), as well as a branch in Ennersdorf (code 1061) until it was abolished in June 2002. Six out of seven (with the exception of Ennersdorf's Employment Service ) that currently exist in the regional offices of the Employment Service have been performing their functions of providing services to the population and employers since January 1987. Ennersdorf Employment Service (code 107) was established as a separate regional office only in January 2002 in connection with the liquidation of a branch (code 1061) of the Stegersbach regional employment service . ^[3]

Employment Services for Job Seekers

As of January 1, 2016, Burgenland had one land and seven regional employment service offices for job seekers. ^[four]

• The opening hours of the offices of these services are: Monday ÷ Thursday from ^7:30 to ^15:30 , Friday from ^7:30 to ^13:00 , Saturday and Sunday are days off.

Employer Employment Services

As of January 1, 2016, seven regional offices of the Employment Service for employers were located in Burgenland . ^[18]

• The opening hours of the offices of these services are: Monday ÷ Thursday from ^7:30 to ^15:30 , Friday from ^7:30 to ^13:00 , Saturday and Sunday are days off.

Professional Information Centers

As of January 1, 2016, four professional information centers for the employment service were located in Burgenland . ^[26]

• The opening hours of the offices of these services are: Monday ÷ Thursday from ^7:30 to ^15:30 , Friday from ^7:30 to ^13:00 , Saturday and Sunday are days off.

According to the official data of STATISTIK AUSTRIA (Letzte Änderung am 01/22/2016) , cited in "Arbeitsmarktbezirke" (Paket Bevölkerungsstand 2015 - Arbeitsmarktbezirke) ^[6] , the resident population in this territory (federal state Burgenland excluding the political community of Brookknoydorf ) is estimated January 2015, amounted to 285,400 people (male - 139.687, female - 145.713), including:

• population under the age of 15 years - 37.342 (male - 19.098, female - 18.244) or 13.084%;
• working-age population (15 ÷ 64) - 188.863 (male - 95.067, female - 93.796) or 66.175%;
• the elderly population (over 65 years) - 59.195 (male - 25.522, female - 33.673) or 20.741%.

The resident population by regional employment services was as follows:

• Eisenstadt Employment Service (service code - 101) - 57.242 people;
• Mattersburg Employment Service (service code - 102) - 39.364 people;
• Employment Service Neusiedl am See (service code - 103) - 54.075 people;
• Oberpullendorf Employment Service (service code - 104) - 37.622 people;
• Oberwart Employment Service (service code - 105) - 53.610 people;
• Stegersbach Employment Service (service code - 106) - 26.272 people;
• Ennersdorf Employment Service (service code - 107) - 17.215 people. ^[6]
