Career
To Formula 1
Brian Redman began his first major successes in motorsport in 1965. This year he won two races of the Autosport Championship series in Ulton Park driving a Jaguar E-Type .
In 1966, Redman performed at the British Sports Car Championship and Formula Libre on the Lola T70 . In the same year, Brian Redman made his debut in such prestigious sports car races as 1000 kilometers of Monza , Spa and Nurburgring . In all these races, Redman finished in the top ten, speaking on the Ford GT40 . He was fourth at the Spa, speaking in the team of Peter Sutcliffe , which was his partner.
Collaboration with Jacques X and the debut in Formula 1 (1967-1968)
In 1967, Brian Redman continued to perform in sports car races and took 6th place in the race 1000 kilometers Spa . The racer made his debut at Le Mans as part of the JW Automotive Engineering team. Redman took part in the German Grand Prix of 1967 , the stage of Formula 1 , for the Lola team, but acted there as a pilot of Formula 2 . He could not start. At the end of 1967, Redman took 6th place in the race for 1000 kilometers of Paris with Richard Attwood on the Ferrari 250 LM , and then won 9 hours with Chiali and Jacques X.
The full debut of Brian Redman in Formula 1 took place in 1968 as part of the Cooper team. In 1969, Brian Redman did not speak in Formula 1, but participated in racing sports cars for the Porsche factory team. He won five races: 6 hours of Brands Hatch , 1,000 kilometers of Monza , Spa , Nurburgring , 6 hours of Watkins-Glen - with Joe Siffert as a partner, as well as 1,000 kilometers of Zeltweg with Siffert and Kurt Arens . Return to John Wyer Automotive Engineering (1970-1971)

With him, Brian Redman became the double winner of 1000 kilometers of Monza and won 1000 kilometers of the Nurburgring. Performances in Formula 1 for McLaren (1972)
In the same 1972, Brian Redman spent three Formula 1 races for McLaren . The pilot scored points twice, taking 5th place in the Grand Prix of Monaco and Germany . In the season finale, US Grand Prix , Redman played for BRM at the BRM P180 before reaching the finish line. In the overall standings of the Formula 1 season, Brian Redman took 14th place, with 4 points.
The last Formula 1 race for Shadow (1973-1974)
In 1973, Brian Redman held in Formula 1 one race for the Shadow team, which made its debut in the "royal races" - the season finale in Watkins-Glen , which was overshadowed by the death of François Sever . Starting 13th, Redman was disqualified for outside assistance on the highway.

Further races

In 1981, Brian Redman won the IMSA GT Championship [1] . In 1984 and 1985, he won one race in the championship. Redman played in the series until 1988, when he finished 2nd in the 24-hour Daytona race on the Porsche 962 (team mates Bob Woleck and Mauro Baldi ).
In 1989, Brian Redman performed at the World Sports Prototype Championship. In the same year, the driver took part in the Le Mans 24-hour race for the last time in his career.
In the future, Brian continued to perform in separate endurance races. Redman founded the auto racing team Redman-Bright. In 1997, Uruguayan racing driver Gonzalo Rodriguez made his debut in Formula 3 .
