Baron McGowan of Ardir in Ayrshire is an ancestral title in the United Kingdom Peer system. It was created February 24, 1937 for the famous British businessman Harry Duncan McGowan (1874-1961), chairman of the British chemical company Imperial Chemical Industries .
As of 2014, the title holder was his great-grandson, Harry John Charles McGowan, 4th Baron McGowan (born 1971), who succeeded his father in 2003 .
