Baldenheim ( fr. Baldenheim ) is a commune in northeastern France in the Grand Est region [1] (formerly Alsace-Champagne-Ardennes-Lorraine ), Lower Rhine department , Celeste-Hersten district , canton Celeste [2] . Until March 2015, the commune was administratively part of the abolished canton Markolsheim (Celeste-Hersten county).

Economy
In 2010, out of 746 people of working age (from 15 to 64 years), 573 were economically active , 173 inactive (activity indicator 76.8%, in 1999 - 74.1%). Out of 573 active able-bodied residents, 544 people (296 men and 248 women) worked, 29 were unemployed (7 men and 22 women). Among 173 able-bodied inactive citizens, 53 were pupils or students , 67 - pensioners , and another 53 - were inactive for other reasons [9] [10] .
