Oleg Nikolaevich Kopytov (born July 18, 1963 - March 24, 2017) is a Russian philologist, writer, journalist, professor of the Department of Journalism and Publishing Business of the Far Eastern Federal University, Doctor of Philology.

Biography
Born in the city of Frunze of the Kyrgyz SSR.
In his school years he was fond of football and amateur theater: the youth team of FC ZIL and the People’s Theater - both at the Frunze Machine-Building Plant named after V.I. Lenin.
He worked as a fitter at the Setun plant, studied at the philological faculty of the Kyrgyz State University, and served in the military in the Soviet Army.
In 1990 he graduated from the Russian department of the Philological Faculty of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov (supervisor of the special seminar and thesis - prof. V. A. Beloshapkova).
1990–1992 - lecturer at the Department of Contemporary Russian Language of Fruzensky (since 1992 - Bishkek) State Pedagogical Institute of the Russian Language and Literature.
1992–1996 - teacher of the Russian language department of the Khabarovsk State Pedagogical Institute.
1996–1998 - editor of the Den TV channel CJSC Komkon-TV, freelance correspondent for a number of printed Khabarovsk mass media, assistant director for media relations and advertising of the Khabarovsk branch of SBS-Agro Bank (1997–1998).
1998–2004 - commentator on the editorial board of literary and musical programs of the State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company “Far Eastern” and associate professor at the Khabarovsk universities.
2004–2005 - Editor, Project Manager of the Priamurskiye Vedomosti Publishing House and associate professor at the Department of Marketing and Advertising of the Khabarovsk State Academy of Economics and Law (KhGAEP).
2005–2007 - Head of the Department of Public Relations, Associate Professor of KSEP.
2007–2011 - Associate Professor of the Department of Philology, Vice-Rector for Research, Khabarovsk State Institute of Arts and Culture (KGIIK).
2012–2013 - teacher of the Russian language and literature of secondary school No. 35 and gymnasium No. 5 of Khabarovsk, editor of Russian projects of the production company Christian Greiner (Paris, France) and associate professor-hour of the Far Eastern Institute of International Relations.
August - December 2013 - Professor of the Russian language section of the Department of Modern Languages, Faculty of Arts, University of Ghana (West Africa).
Since 2014 - Professor at the Department of Journalism and Publishing Business at the School of Humanities of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU).
In 2004, in the Council at the Far Eastern State University (Vladivostok) he defended his thesis on philology (specialty 02/10/01 - Russian language) on the topic “Interaction of Qualitative Modus Meanings in the Text (Authorization and Persuasiveness)” (scientific professor - prof. T.V. Shmeleva, NovSU).
In 2014, the council at Novgorod State University. Yaroslav the Wise defended his doctoral dissertation in philology (specialty 02/10/01 - Russian) on the topic “The text-forming role of modus meanings against a background of sphere differences (based on modern prose).”
The author of the concept of modus in the text space, more than 100 scientific works, including 2 monographs, 8 study guides, 15 articles of the HAC list (as of 2016).
He wrote 10 books of fiction (collections of short stories, novels and novels), journalism and literary criticism. The author of a dozen "thick" magazines and almanacs. Three times laureate of literary prizes of the magazine "Far East". Essays and stories were published in Serbian-Croatian language in the magazines and publishing houses of Serbia in the translations of Branka Takahashi (Japan).
As a journalist, he collaborated with almost four dozen media outlets in the cities of Frunze (Bishkek), Khabarovsk, Vladivostok and Moscow. In the second half of the 1980s, he was a freelance Moscow correspondent for Radio Liberty (Munich, Germany).
Member of the Union of Journalists of Russia and the International Federation of Russian Writers.
