Diacamma magdalenae (lat.) - a species of ants ( Formicidae ) of the genus Diacamma from the subfamily Ponerinae . Malaysia ( Sarawak and West Kalimantan; island of Borneo ) [1] .

Description
Body length from 12.72 to 14.80 mm, head length HL 1.42-1.61 mm, head width HW 1.97-2.32 mm, scape length of antennae SL 3.72-4.40 mm. The main color is black; clypeus , mandibles and legs reddish brown. Antennae 12-segmented (13 in males), no mace. The head is elongated, the eyes are relatively large, protruding, located on the midline in the upper lateral part of the head. The whole body is covered with rough deep grooves, including on the first three tergites of the abdomen. There is 1 segment in the stalk ( petiol ), but the first segment of the abdomen is sharply separated by a constriction from the others. The species was first described in 2015 by Austrian worldmecologists Alice Laciny , Anna Pal and Herbert Zettel ; Zoological Department, Natural History Museum, Vienna , Austria ). The species name is given in honor of the enthusiastic worldmecologist Daniela Magdalena Sorger , who collected this and many other species of ants [1] .
