Khotomlya is a river in Ukraine , within the Velikoburluksky , Volchansky and Pechenezhsky districts of the Kharkov region . Left tributary of the Seversky Donets ( Don basin).

Description
The length is 38 km. The catchment area is 341 km². The slope of the river is 1.9 m / km. The valley is trapezoidal, asymmetrical, 1.0-1.5 km wide. The floodplain is two-sided, up to 0.5 km wide, flooded during characteristic spring floods. The course is weakly sinuous. In the upper reaches built ponds. Used for irrigation.
Location
The river originates in the village. Prikolotnoe . It flows mainly to the south-west, in the lower course - to the west. It falls into the Seversky Donets (in the Pechenezh reservoir ) 881 km from its source, near the village of Pershotravnevy .
The largest tributary: Khotomelka (right).
The Prikolotnyanskoe reservoir is located on the river.
