Biography
Born in 1863 on the island of Mykonos . After graduating from high school, he entered the Law Academy at the University of Athens. Later he dropped out of school and devoted his work to archeology and numismatics. He studied at the universities of Berlin, London and Paris (1883–1887) for some time. Upon returning to Greece, he headed the Numismatic Museum of Athens, where he worked until the end of his days. He became the director of the museum in 1899.
In 1918-1920 he was a professor of numismatics at the Numismatic Museum of Athens. Since 1898, he was published in the journal International Archeology and Numismatics ( Journal International d'Archéologie Numismatique ).
