History
Until July 15, 2013 - the center of the district of the same name. After the reform of the administrative-territorial division of Hungary - as part of a new administrative-territorial unit called Khaidunanashsky Yarash .
Toponym
The word polgar in Hungarian means "citizen." It is not only a toponym, but also a famous surname .
Population
