Biography

He graduated from the Physics Department of Leningrad State University (1936). He taught there, then at the Central Asian State University (today - the National University of Uzbekistan ).

After the outbreak of the war, as a German he was sent to a labor camp in the Molotov region . In 1942-1947 he worked as an economist and engineer for the construction of roads.

He fled from the camp, bought a passport in Leningrad (for 2 thousand rubles), arrived in Moscow and was hired by the Kursk Geophysical Expedition (in 1948-1958, a geophysicist engineer, party leader, chief engineer of the expedition of the Union Central Geophysical Trust in Oboyan )

In 1958-1963, the chief geophysicist of the department of geophysical work in the Glavgeology of the RSFSR. In 1963-1982, a senior researcher, team leader in the iron department of the All-Union Institute of Mineral Raw Materials.

The initiator of the use of complex geological and geophysical methods for forecasting, searching and evaluating deep-lying iron ore deposits.

Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences (1967), professor.

The 1959 Lenin Prize - for the discovery and exploration of rich iron ore deposits in the Belgorod region of KMA.

He was buried in Moscow at the Perovsky cemetery.
