The Vth World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships took place in Havana ( Cuba ) on November 10-11, 1971 . In the individual program, gymnasts performed with a rope, a hoop, a ball and a ribbon. Competitions were also held in the individual all-around and group championship [1] .
Athletes from 15 countries were represented: Bulgaria , the USSR , Cuba , Hungary , Czechoslovakia , North Korea , Romania , Japan , New Zealand , Denmark , East Germany , Canada , Mexico , Sweden and Italy .
