Style Features

Vick as an artist of our city is complex in its roots and sources. He organically combines the appeal to Western traditions with the original Russian methods. His works are addressed to the intellectual viewer, who knows the history of fine art and knows how to enjoy the texture of painting. In working with color, with form, we deliberately recognize a dialogue with Matisse , Modigliani , Russo , Picasso , Delvo. The master uses folk traditions that feed from the bed of the national school of painting, based on the analytical methods of artists such as Filonov , Malevich , Kandinsky , Chagall . The visual language of Vic also contains the finds of a realistic school, and the postulates of naive art , a complex system of iconic perspective , popular prints , and the principles of ornamental art are often used in compositions. Despite the fact that the painting is saturated with links to a variety of layers of fine art, the paintings are clearly readable. In communication with the viewer, Vic refers to the children's experience of perception, sincere and direct, living feeling of beauty and true, which is in everyone [5] .
