Religion in Timor Leste

Religion in East Timor is an integral part of the life of the Timorese - there are almost no unbelievers among the population.

Christianity

Christians make up 99.1% of the country's population. Most of the local Christians are Catholics (96.9%), but Protestants are also present (2.2%). Christmas is widely celebrated in Timor

Islam

According to 2010 data , Islam professes about 0.3% of the population; Kurban Bayram and Uraza Bayram are celebrated in the country

Hinduism

Hinduism professes approximately 0.5% of the population
