Bolgradsky district ( Ukrainian: Bolgradsky district ) is an administrative unit in the south of Odessa region of Ukraine . The administrative center is the city of Bolgrad .

Geography
The water fund of the Bolgradsky district is 5167 ha. The area of ββLake Yalpug in the district is 3854 ha. The lake is the only source of drinking water for the city of Bolgrad . There are 20 ponds and 5 reservoirs in the district. 4 small rivers flow through the district: Yalpug , Bolshoi Kotlabukh , Maly Kotlabukh and Tashbunar . The total length of small rivers and streams in the district is 378 km. To ensure the household and drinking needs of the population in the region there are 49 artesian wells , 241 public mine wells and 11 captures.

The population of the district is 74,871 people, of which the urban population is 17,010, the rural population is 57,869.
The bulk of the population are Bulgarians.
