Biography

He began to engage in wrestling in 1925.

In 1935 and 1936 he was a bronze medalist in the German Championship both in freestyle wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestling. In the qualifying competitions, where he competed in particular with Jacob Brøndel , he was selected to participate in the Olympic Games, where he won a bronze medal in lightweight.

In 1938, he took second place in the German Greco-Roman wrestling championship. The war that began in 1939 stopped the wrestler's sports career.

After the war, he worked as a sports judge for a long time.

He died in 1978.
