Aleksander Zavanovich Mirzayan (born July 20, 1945 , Baku ) is a Soviet and Russian poet and composer , bard , TV presenter . Theorist songwriter.

Biography

In 1969 he graduated from a branch of MVTU im. E. Bauman , then worked as a physical engineer at the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics in Moscow ^[1] .

He wrote his first songs in 1969. In the 1970s, he regularly participated in the events of the Moscow KSP - festivals, competitions and rallies. Invariably became a laureate or diploma winner. In the 1970s and 1980s, Mirzayan’s active citizenship and his commitment to “unofficial” culture (the bard promoted the works of D. Harms , I. Brodsky , etc.) ^[1] became the reason for his conflict with the authorities - he was often blacklisted bards not allowed on stage at national concerts. There was a period of an unofficial ban on his work, but he never stopped his work and since 1988 he took up exclusively the author’s song, becoming a member of the First Circle creative association, which included Vladimir Berezhkov , Viktor Luferov , Mikhail Kochetkov and other authors.

Mirzayan writes songs both to his verses and to the verses of Russian poets - V. Sosnora , I. Brodsky, D. Harms, M. Tsvetaeva , O. Chukhontsev and others. Other people's poems in songs often appear in a very changed form. The bard plays a six-string guitar using a very unusual technique.

At concerts in the 1970s and 1980s, along with singing, he read literary anecdotes of Daniil Kharms.

Since the late 1990s, Mirzayan has been devoting more and more time to research and historical and philosophical understanding of the very phenomenon of the song ^[2] . In his performances, singing itself is increasingly giving way to discussions of song culture. Member of the bard ensemble “ Songs of our century ”. Vice President of the Association of Bards of Russia ^[3] .

In 2005-2010, the morning TV channel Good Morning was broadcast on Channel One ^[4] ^[5] ^[6] .

Public position

In March 2003, he signed a letter against the war in Chechnya , in which workers of science and culture called on the Russian authorities to stop the military conflict and proceed to the negotiation process ^[7] .

In February 2014, during a public speech at the Hyperion club, he called the territory of Ukraine “primordially Russian lands” and expressed bewilderment why the Russian troops are still not there:

But Ukraine is our original Russian lands ... What are we talking about ... It can’t separate anywhere ... I don’t understand where our tanks are? Would have been there for a long time ... If I had been there (pointing up), everything would have been decided for a long time ^[8] .

In August 2015 in Donetsk, Mirzayan expressed his admiration for the supporters of the “Russian world” taking part on the Russian side in the war in the Donbass , as well as his sense of shame that he himself could not take part in the hostilities:

I can’t imagine how this is happening in the 21st century ... My dear, you are an outpost of Russia. I have tremendous hope for you. What can you turn “ Russian World ” into a new reality ... “Russian World” must look at itself differently and precisely through the prism of Donbass. And I'm proud of you, I bow. And I am ashamed that I can’t take an automatic machine myself and participate in this liberation movement myself ... But, guys, I look at you with great hope, believe me ... ^[8]
