Znamenka is an all-Russian festival of the song of student groups . It has been held annually since 1978 on the banks of the Pyshma River at the foot of Divya Mountain, Sukholozhsky District, Sverdlovsk Region, not far from the village of Znamenskoye , which gave the name of the festival. Held on the first Friday - Sunday of August. If Friday falls on July 30 or July 31, then the dates are adjusted.

Description
The festival is attended by members of student groups who perform their own songs, as well as well-known Russian stars as headliners. For three days there are songs with a guitar. A large campground is set up in the Znamenskaya glade, all participants and guests of the festival live in tents. Znamenka is one of the largest and most famous open-air festivals held in the Sverdlovsk Region. Number of participants and guests: from 7 thousand people [1] .
Famous participants and laureates
Over the years, the festival’s laureates were Vadim Samoilov , Leonid Vaksman, the editors of the Krasnaya Burda humorous newspaper, members of the Ural dumplings KVN team (all come from student groups), many prominent leaders of regions and organizations [ what? ] . Among the headliners of the festival were seen:
- Pop rock band The Brothers Grimm (band) in 2007 [2]
- Rock band Earthlings (band) in 2009.
- Rock group Resurrection in 2010 [3] and 2011 [4] .
- Guitar virtuoso Zinchuk Victor in 2012 [5]
- The Ural dumplings and the Victoria Choir are the winner of the Battle of the Choirs project, which was held on the Russia-1 TV channel in 2013 [6] .
- Rock band 02.30 in 2014. [one]
- Orchestra of the Ural State Conservatory named after M.P. Mussorgsky and Semantic Hallucinations in 2015 [7] .

Festival Program
- Concert of laureates of past years, in which winners of past festivals take part.
- Competition program, in which song collectives participate, auditioned and allowed to perform by the competition commission;
- Concert and rewarding of winners (laureates, diplomats) of the Festival.
The festival also hosts events:
- Competition "Znamenka Couple".
- Competition "Dancing on the grass."
- Competition design camps (camps) student teams.
- Sports competitions (football, volleyball, rope, kettlebell, AWM-wrestling).
Interesting Facts
Since 2006, the Winter Znamenka festival has also been held [8] . The event, which includes a traditional song contest, as well as a reader competition and an ice dancing competition, is held annually on February 23 in Yekaterinburg [9] .
In 2018, the theme of the festival was the 2018 FIFA World Cup . Also, the participants of the competition will be offered to create an anthem "Expo-2025" , because Yekaterinburg claims the right to host a world exhibition in 2025 [10] .
