Land Court of Reed im Innkrais

The Ried im Innkrais Regional Court is a regional court and considers criminal and civil cases from four currently existing Upper Austria district courts in the territorial jurisdiction of this court ( Braunau am Inn , Mattighofen , Ried im -Incrais , Sherding ) ^[3] . It also considers civil legal relations (with rare exceptions) with dispute amounts of more than 15,000 euros. In addition, the Ried im Innkrais Regional Court examines appeals against rulings of the Upper Austria district courts in the territorial jurisdiction of this court, as well as examines cases under Austrian labor and social laws in this part of the Upper Austria federal state, regardless of the amount of the dispute. Keeping a register of all companies created in Upper Austria that are in the territorial jurisdiction of this court is also the prerogative of the Land Court of Ried im Inkreis . ^[four]

The territorial jurisdiction of the Land Court of Ried im Inkreis covers the western part of the federal state of Upper Austria and extends to its three political districts: Braunau am Inn , Rid im Inkreis and Sherding . The superior court for him is the High Land Court of Linz .

The Ried im Innkrais Land Court is currently housed in a building on 56 Bahnhofstrasse.

On the ground floor of the building is the Ried im Innkrais District Court , as well as judicial offices 016, 018, 021 and courtroom 015.

Reed ’s prosecutor’s office is also located on the ground floor. Near the copy center, at the entrance, there is courtroom 101 and the criminal affairs departments.

On the second floor there is a library, office, courtroom 203 and departments for all civil cases. ^[5]

After the land and criminal court already existed in Reed , the Reed im Innkrais Land Court was established in October 1854 by a judicial board. Thus, the Land Court of Ried im Innkrais became the court of first instance. The court placed on the main square in the building of today's post.

In 1885, work began on the construction of a new courthouse along with the prison at Bahnhofstrasse. The courthouse was built in the Renaissance style in 1891. The historic building is crowned with a pediment designed by a group led by Friedrich Hausmann (1860-1936). Inside the building, on the ceiling, the original frescoes of justice are preserved in the courtroom and the prison chapel. On March 1, 1993, the name of the court of first instance was changed to the term "land court". In 2003-2004, the courthouse was completely renovated, and a park was set up in the surrounding area. ^[6]
