Odin's soldiers ( Fin. Odinin soturit ; the English name is used . English Soldiers of Odin and the abbreviation SOO : on behalf of the Scandinavian pagan god Odin ) - street anti-migrant patrols that appeared in Finland (originally in the city of Kemi [2] ) in October 2015.

As symbols, patrol participants use black jackets, national flags and “ Viking symbols” (horned helmet) [3] .
The SUPO security police characterize the organization as racist and xenophobic , although its followers themselves deny this [4] . The investigation of the central criminal police on the fact of statements on the Facebook network did not reveal any arguments about instituting criminal proceedings against the leaders of the movement [5] .
History
The appearance of patrols was caused by the migration crisis in Europe and was supported by the conservative True Finns movement [6] . The movement quickly gained popularity and spread to many European countries (mainly in the regions of Scandinavia and the Baltic states [7] ), and in social networks the movement gained about 30 thousand participants [8] .
In Norway, immigrants from the Middle East created alternative patrols “Soldiers of Allah ” (the symbol of which was the Shahada ) to confront the “soldiers of Odin” [9] .
In June 2016, it was noted that the organization began to lose its members, activities in many cities almost ceased, and a conflict between the leaders of the organization [10] .
