Career

Dace launched his PointlessBlog on YouTube in 2009 . As of August 2016, the channel has more than 5.3 million subscribers and more than 400 million views on YouTube [2] [3] . His second channel has more than 3.3 million subscribers and more than 250 million views [4] . In addition, he has more than 3.5 million followers on Twitter and more than 4.3 million followers on Instagram [3] . In December 2013, Yahoo! News named it one of the top 12 Internet entrepreneurs [5] , and in December 2014 it was featured on the cover of the Company’s magazine for Generation YouTube [6] [7] .

Dace collaborates with a number of other YouTube youbers, including Tanya Burr , Louis Cole , Lawrence Pentland , Grace Helbig , Tyler Oakley , Troy Sivan , Miranda Sings , Zoe Sugg and Joe Sugg . He also created several videos with Ariana Grande for The You Generation Network on YouTube [8] .

In 2013, Dace was a member of the Guinness World Records OMG! Channel and set a number of world records, including “Wear more bracelets in 30 seconds with a two-person team” along with Marcus Butler and Laurbubble (record not broken); and “Blow up more crackers in 30 seconds” with a score of 29, thereby breaking the previously set record [9] [10] [11] .

In 2015, Dais was included in Debrett's 500 - a list of the UK's most influential people in the New Media category [12] [13] .

The Pointless Books

Dais signed a contract with Blink Publishing in 2014, and his debut book , The Pointless Book, came out in September of that year [14] [15] [16] . The book is part of a magazine, part of a creative notebook, including a free downloadable application and social media association [14] [15] [16] . This was disadvantageous compared to Kerry Smith 's Wreck This Journal notebooks, which contained similar ideas [17] [18] [19] . Rike Sammader said:

This is a bit like leaflets that give children in museums and on airplanes so that they behave quietly. Most of the pages are blank that contain instructions on “Draw a selfie” or “Fill this page with whatever you want.” The Pointless Book is a tricky move for merchandising .

- The Guardian [20]

The sequel to The Pointless Book , The Pointless Book 2 , was released on March 26, 2015 and has the same content. It was the second best-selling book in its release week. The third release is planned to be released later.

Music

In 2014, Dais, teamed up with other artists in Band Aid 30 , presented the single “Do They Know It's Christmas?” As a charity fundraiser for treating Ebola in West Africa [21] [22] [23] .

Dace was part of the YouTube Boyband, which held a charity event for the organization " Discharge of laughter " and was published in the newspaper The Guardian [24] [25] [26] .

Radio

In November 2014, Dais appeared on The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw along with fellow YouTube player Marcus Butler [27] .

Personal life

Alfie is currently dating Zoe Sagg , better known on YouTube as Zoella [28] [29] .
