Abu Shuaib Muhammad ibn Nusayr en-Numayri ( arab. أبو شعيب محمّد بن نصير النميّري ), known as Ibn Nusayr ( arab. ابن نصير ; d. 883 ) —a student of the tenth Imam of the Shiites — Imamites Ali Al-Hadi and the Eleventh Imam, Hasan al-Askari (died 873) [1] . The followers of Ibn Nusayr are called Nusayrites [2] ( Arabic نصيريون ) or, since the 1920s, Alawites ( Arabic علوي ) [3] .

Biography
His complete Abu Shuaib Muhammad ibn Nusayr al-Basri al-Numayri. He was of Persian descent, but was associated with the Arab tribe of en-Numeir. [4] .
Ibn Nusayr lived in the time of the tenth ( Ali Al-Hadi ), the eleventh ( Hassan Al-ʻAskari ) and the twelfth ( Muhammad al-Mahdi ) Imam of the Shiites of the Twelver. Ibn Nusayr was known as an adviser and assistant (women) Imam al-Askari. After the death of al-Askari, he became the authority of the Shiites, and after "concealing" Imam al-Mahdi became the leader of the Shiites [5] .
Muhammad ibn Nusayr held extreme views, argued that he was a prophet sent by God, and that the Shiite imams who were before him were incarnations of Allah [6] and the twelfth imam, Muhammad al-Mahdi [7] [8] of his opponent in On women (door) in imams was Abu Yakub Ishaq, the founder of the sect of Ishakia. [9] .
Died in 883 [10] .
