Biography
In 1980 he graduated from the Leningrad Film School. For some time after graduating from college he worked as a projection engineer at the Sovremennik and Titan cinemas.
According to Garkusha himself, he accidentally hit the stage. In 1985, he was asked to sing a few phrases of a song, verses to which he wrote. He sang, everyone liked it. So he became a member of "Auktsyona" [1] .
After joining the team, the image of AuktsYona radically changed. The band's performances turned into eccentric shows with a buffoonery . A distinctive feature of these shows was the character and recognition of each character. Garkusha was especially good in the role of a restless, eccentric punk - the “red clown” jumping around the stage.
In the AuktsYon group, Garkusha was not only a showman, but also the author of the lyrics, along with the poet and musician Dmitry Ozersky . Only if Ozersky wrote texts for finished compositions by Fedorov (according to the principle of libretto ), then Garkusha brought his own poems, to which music was then written [2] . The famous songs of “AuktsYona”, set on the verses of Garkusha, are “Money is paper”, “She-wolf”, “Airplane”, “Pioneer” and “Bird” written by Garkusha in 1991 during the August coup . The album " Ass " in 1990 consists almost entirely of songs on the verses of Oleg.
Oleg Garkusha played in the films Cracker (1987), The Presumption of Innocence (1988), Khrustalyov, the car! "(1998)," I also want "(2012). Garkusha also played the role of the Crocodile in the production of "The Stolen Sun " by the group " KS ".
In 1991 he participated in the concert “ Rock Against Terror ”. At one time, Garkusha tried his hand in the role of a public figure, when he headed the "Youth and Public Committee for the preparation of the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the city."
