Ragash, Jean-Robert

Jean-Robert Ragache ( fr. Jean-Robert Ragache , born January 12, 1939 , Charleville-Mezières , Ardennes , France [1] ) is a French historian , politician and public figure . In 1987 and 1989, he was elected the great master of the Great East of France and in 2011-2012 the great commander of the Supreme Council of the Great College of the School of Arts and Sciences [2] .

Biography

In 1963 he entered the Masonic lodge of the Grand Lodge of France in Rouen, and the next year he goes to the box of the Great East of France. From 1963 to 1966 he went from apprentice to master . In 1980, he became the venerable master of the lodge and entered the Lodge of improvement. Gets the highest degrees of DPShU [3] .

He worked as a professor of history at the University Institute for the Training of Teachers ( Fr. Institut universitaire de formation des maîtres ) in Rouen [4] . Specializes in modern history.

September 5, 1987 for the first time took the post of Grand Master of the Great East of France [5] In 1989-1992 he again took the post of Grand Master of the Great East of France.

In 1990-1993 he was president of CLIPSAS - the Center for Communications and Information of the Masonic obedience to the Strasbourg Agreement [3] .

In July 1992, he visited Moscow and gave an interview to the Itogi program (TRC Ostankino) [6] . In addition to Moscow, he visited Tashkent ( Uzbekistan ). He dealt with issues of opening WWF lodges in Russia [7] .

From 1995 to 2001 - Deputy Mayor of Rouen for Cultural Affairs [4] .

In 2007-2008 - the first commander-lieutenant [8] , and in 2011-2012 - the great commander of the Supreme Council of the Grand Collegium of the Ancient and the adopted Scottish charter [2] . Inaugurated as great commander on May 28, 2011 [9] .

In 2007, in Rouen, he created and headed the Association “La Maison Sublime de Rouen”, created to support and develop the oldest Jewish monument in France - the rabbinical school in Rouen, operating in the XI century, found in 1976 [10] . He is the chairman of the Administrative Council of the Association [11] .

In 2015, he was the leader of the celebration of the Day of Joan of Arc in Rouen [12] .

He is a supporter of secular society and the separation of the Church from the state [13] [3] .
