An honorary citizen of the city of Anadyr - the highest honorary title of the city district of Anadyr - the capital of the Chukotka Autonomous Region . The title was established back in Soviet times, but it was officially approved only on October 6, 2011 - by the Decision of the Council of Deputies of the Anadyr Urban District of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug No. 233 “On Approval of the Regulation on the Title“ Honorary Citizen of the City of Anadyr ”” [1] .

The titles “Honorary Citizen of the city of Anadyr” can be awarded to citizens who have made a great contribution to the development of the capital of Chukotka and have especially outstanding services to the residents of Anadyr and the national village of Tavayvaam [2] .
The project of the badge for the title was developed by the Union of Heraldists of Russia under the President of the Russian Federation .
In addition to the badge, honorary citizens of the district center are awarded with commemorative diplomas, certificates and a cash prize in the amount of 10 minimum wages .
Anadyr citizens are honored and awarded annually on Anadyr City Day, which is celebrated on the first Saturday of August.

- Nazarenko, Vasily Nikolaevich - Chairman of the Duma of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Rank awarded May 25, 2004.
- Sevastyanov, Vitaly Ivanovich - cosmonaut , twice Hero of the Soviet Union .
- Khvan, Victor Alekseevich - head of the administration of the city of Anadyr (from 1997 to 2003), the title was awarded in 2003.
- Schegolkov, Andrey Gennadievich - the head of the administration of the city of Anadyr (from 2003 to 2006), the head of the city district of Anadyr since 2006.
