2014 European Championship International Women Drafts (Blitz)

The 2014 European Blitz Women's International Drafts Championship was held on October 6 in Tallinn at the same time as the men's tournament . According to the results of the competition, the European champion in the team competition was determined.

The tournament was attended by 44 players (of whom 7 MGy ) from 8 countries. Daria Tkachenko performed under the flag of FMJD . The main judge is Yury Lipnitsky.

Tournament Progress

At the end of 9 rounds of 14 points out of 18 possible scored three athletes.

For the distribution of places used average rating of rivals. According to him, 1. Matryona Nogovitsina (2149.22), 2. Tamara Tansykkuzhina (2140.33), 3. Irina Platonova (2094.44).

After the rewarding, it turned out that for the draw and the summing up, the main, not the blitz rating, was used. With the correct calculation of the rating (blitz), the final prize trio changed. A protest was filed to the panel of judges.

The European Drafts Confederation decided to assign two first places and one third. Matryona Nogovitsina and Tamara Tansykkuzhina became champions, Irina Platonova (all Russia) won the bronze award.
