Scientific Activities
In the 1970s, the research activity of Andrei Nikolaevich was mainly associated with the development of new methods for compiling programming languages. The applied result of these studies was the implementation of translators and cross-translators of languages with static type control ( Algol 68 , Ada, Pascal, Oberon, etc.) for a number of different platforms. In particular, as part of this work, the teams of developers at Leningrad University under the leadership of Andrei Nikolayevich implemented the Algol 68 translator, one of the most complex programming languages that existed at that time, for the most massive platform of those years, the EU computer . Subsequently, this translator was transferred to a number of other platforms, including the IBM PC .
In the 1980s, Andrei Nikolaevich Terekhov began working on industrial projects in the field of telecommunications. In this regard, the sphere of scientific interests of Andrei Nikolaevich included issues of programming technology and the implementation of real-time systems, including embedded systems.
Since the mid-1990s, Andrei Nikolayevich has been engaged in research in the field of software reengineering , as well as in information technology teaching.
