Biography

Born December 18, 1917 in the United States. In the late 1930s, he entered the University of Illinois , which he graduated in 1941. In 1951, he was invited by the administration of the University of Illinois to the Agronomy Department, and since 1963 became a professor. He worked at the university until his death.

He died in 2004 in the USA. More information about Denton Alexander is unknown.

Scientific work

The main scientific works are devoted to theoretical and methodological issues of genetics and plant breeding.

  • Developed the genetic basis of corn breeding.
