Halliday, Michael

Michael Alexander Kirkwood Hallyday ] . M. Halliday describes language as a semiotic system, but not as a system of signs, but as a system of resources for the formation of meaning [5] . Despite the fact that Halliday called himself a universal and tried to “look at the language from any possible point of view” [6] , to a greater extent he preferred social, in which language simultaneously acts both as a creation and as the creator of human society [7] .
