Structure
Electronic library materials are grouped by type of publication - books, magazines, filmstrips and newspapers ( Pionerskaya Pravda ). The library is equipped with a variety of search capabilities. A simple search by word or expression is performed by metadata and text of materials. Search results are sorted by relevance . In advanced search, it is possible to apply filters by fields: “name”, “subject”, “author”, “illustrator” , etc. Faceted search is performed on almost all metadata.
Filmstrips
Since July 2015 , in accordance with the decision of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Children's Library has been the coordinator for the conservation and creation of the electronic filmstrip collection. The idea of creating a digital filmstrip collection was put forward by the director of the library, M. Vedenyapina, at a round table on reading issues held by the State Duma Chairman S. E. Naryshkin [6] .
The main task is to create a reliable registry of filmstrips issued in the USSR and the Russian Federation . The Russian State Children's Library collects and records information on filmstrips from Russian libraries and private collections. Digitization is carried out according to a specially developed technology, including scanning with high resolution (4000 dpi ), removing film film defects, cropping, color restoration, and a bibliographic description [7] .
Access to digitized filmstrips is provided through the National Electronic Children's Library [8] on the basis of a licensing agreement concluded with the State Film Fund of Russia at the beginning of 2016 . According to some estimates, the number of filmstrips released may be at least 16,000 [9] . As of October 2018, the digital collection, compiled by the Russian State Library for Contemporary Arts, contains more than 2500 materials, more than 5,000 filmstrips are entered in the register [10] .
