The Imperial House of Corrino is one of the Great Houses and the ruling family of the intergalactic feudal empire in the Dune Universe . The House of Corrino came to power after the victory of mankind over thinking machines in the battle for Corrin (in whose honor they took their name). Representatives of the House of Corrino ruled for about 10,000 years until Muad'Dib overthrew them.

In the events of the novel "Dune"
In the Dune novel, the head of the house of Corrino, the eighty-first padishah-emperor of the Famous Universe, Shaddam IV Corrino, conspires with the head of the house of Harkonnen , Baron Vladimir , to completely destroy the Atreides house , which in their opinion became excessively powerful. However, in the end, Shaddam Corrino is forced to abdicate, and on the throne of the Golden Lion, the padishah-emperor Paul Muad'Dib Atreides reigns.
In computer games
The Dune 2000 and Emperor: Battle for Dune games developed by Westwood Studios contain in-game videos that feature a non-canonical alternative storyline for the Dune universe.
In Dune 2000, Emperor Frederic Corrino IV allows the three great houses ( Atreides , Ordos, and Harkonnen ) to start a war for the possession of the planet Arrakis. The reign of the house was terminated after the emperor was poisoned by his own rival from Bene Gesserit .
At the beginning, the Space Guild declares the war of the Assassins between the three houses for the Throne of the Golden Lion. The House of the Ordos, with the help of Bene Tleilax, is created from the corpse of the emperor ghol , which they, with the support of the sardaukars, intend to elevate to the throne of the empire.
