The guild works on a membership basis. Licensing revenues are distributed as fees to their members and members of affiliated international societies (SOCAN, Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada, Society of Composers and Music Authors of Hong Kong, etc.) The remaining funds are used to cover operating costs and salaries to its employees.
For the optimal fulfillment of its tasks, PRA is represented in numerous committees and institutions (Cannes Film Festival, UNIFRANCE, AcSB), and also participates in the development of cinema and audiovisual policies with the National Center for Cinema and Moving Image. L'ARP coordinates its work with the Television and Radio Broadcasting Council (CSA), the European Commission, content publishers and distributors, the Ministry of Culture and Mass Media, and other professional organizations.
The work of the ARP guild is reflected in the organization of cultural events in France and abroad. The Guild of Authors, Directors and Producers of France has established awards for the best works of French authors.
