Irina Igorevna Podolyak (born May 2, 1967 , Zolochev , Lviv Region ) is a Ukrainian politician, People's Deputy of Ukraine of the VIII convocation , a member of the parliamentary faction " Self-Help Association ".

Education
- In 1985-1990, she studied at the Lviv National University. I. Franco at the Faculty of Philology. Upon completion, she received the qualification of “ philologist ”, “teacher”; specialty "Ukrainian language and literature". Graduated with honors.
- 1990-1993 - studied at the graduate school of the same university.
In 1998-2002, she qualified as a lawyer at the Law Faculty of Lviv National University.
Career
She began her career in 1984, at the age of 17, from the post of teacher of kindergarten No. 4 in Zolochev.
After graduating from graduate school she worked in the creative association “Center of Europe”.
From 1994 to 1998, she worked as the head of the information department of the Lviv City Executive Committee.
From 1998-2002, she worked as a manager in the NGO Independent Cultural Journal Ї and at the same time as a USAID project coordinator in Lviv.
From 2002 to September 2012, she worked as the head of the foreign cooperation department of the information policy and foreign relations department of the Lviv city council.
Since September 2012 - Head of the Culture Department of the Department of Humanitarian Policy of the Lviv City Council. Being in this position, Irina Podolyak distinguished herself with the intention to "switch to the Russian language in public space" [2] [3] .
Since November 27, 2014 - People’s Deputy of Ukraine, was elected in the constituency No. 116 (Lviv region). In the Verkhovna Rada of the VIII convocation, he is a member of the Self-Help group. Since December 4, 2014 - First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Culture and Spirituality. She was the initiator of the bill “On Amending Certain Laws of Ukraine on the introduction of a contractual form of work in the field of culture and a competitive procedure for appointing the head of a state or communal cultural institution” (No. 2669-d) [4] , which was negatively perceived by the public [5] [6 ] ] . Irina Podolyak is also the author of the draft decree on the dismissal of V. Kirilenko from the post of Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Culture of Ukraine [7] and co-author of many other bills.
On November 1, 2018, Russian sanctions were imposed against 322 citizens of Ukraine, including Irina Podolyak [8] .
