Nergal usyzib (lit. " Nergal save [me]") - the king of Babylonia , reigned approximately 694 - 693 years BC. er
Nergal-usezib was a protege of the king of Elam and Khallutush-Inshushinak II . In union with the Elamites, Uruk and Nippur also captured.
At the end of September 693 BC. er Sinakherib in the battle of Nippur won a major victory over the combined forces of the Babylonians and the Elamites. Nergal-ushezib was captured by the Assyrians, and Hallutash-Inshushinak fled to Elam, where he was soon killed (at the end of October 693 BC). In Nineveh, Nergal-usezib was placed in a cage at the city gate.
