Marduk-Zakir-Shumi II

Marduk-zakir-shumi II (lit. “ Marduk called a name” ; antique Akis ) - king of Babylonia , ruled 1 month in about 703 BC. e.

He was seated on the throne by the rebelled Babylonians. Overthrown by Marduk-apla-iddin II .

This was mentioned by Beross in his “Babylonian History” (in the Armenian translation of the Chronicles of Eusebius of Caesarea ): “ after the reign of the Babylonians, Akis did not manage to reign even thirty days, he was killed by Marudah Baldan ”.
