Location
Marievka is located in the south of Rybinsk, south of the city center. In the north, the micro-district is bounded by Poligrafskaya Street, in the east - by the Cheryemukha River. In the west it borders with the Prism Optical and Mechanical Plant and the Voskhod Gardening Partnership, the border is 1st Vyborgskaya Street. In the south, the border coincides with the border of the city of Rybinsk and runs north of the villages of Sukhovskoye and Malaya Kiselikha.
In the north, Marievka passes into the Gagarinsky district .
History
The name of the microdistrict comes from the name of the village of Marievka (Mareevka) [1] . In pre-revolutionary times, villas were built in the village, which was facilitated by nature - a pine forest and the Cheremukha river.
Since the 1930s, a large array of private houses, including those transported from the flooded zone of the Rybinsk reservoir, were built on the territory of the modern Gagarinsky district and Marievka. Some of the houses are preserved now.
The current stage of development of the microdistrict began in the 1970s. At this time, the industrial site of the Rybinsk Optical and Mechanical Plant “Prism” was transferred to Marievka and the Rybinsk Design Bureau of Special Mechanical Engineering (RKBSM) was built, later called the Design Bureau “Guys” (and even later, JSC “Theme”) [2] . In Marievka, construction of multi-storey residential buildings for workers of these enterprises began.
In the 1990s and early 2000s, Prism and Guys actually ceased to exist. Now on their territory are small firms and car services. On the territory of Prism is also located the main production center of the NGO Krista, which is the largest company in Rybinsk in the field of information technology . In general, Marievka is a typical sleeping area of a Rybinsk scale. The main part of the microdistrict is remote from busy traffic highways and has many green spaces, including islands of pine forests , so the ecological situation in Marievka is favorable.
Development
In contrast to the more northern Gagarinsky district, there is relatively little private sector in Marievka - most of it went under multi-storey buildings. Private houses are present near Poligrafskaya Street, along Yubileynaya Street, between Oshanina and Volochaevskaya Streets. Many houses are wooden logs , but there are also brick houses built according to standard Soviet designs.
The development of the microdistrict began late - in the 1970s, so there are almost no Khrushchevs in Marievka. In a small amount there are brick five - story buildings of the 1-447 series, their improved Brezhnev versions 1-447C are more common. From an earlier multi-apartment building in the area of the former Guys, there are a couple of two-story stalins , clearly visible from Batov Avenue, and on Nansen Street there are still several wooden barracks .
The bulk of the development is made up of panel five - story buildings with new-design apartments of the 111-121 and 121-043 series in the five-story version. There are nine-story houses with apartments of a new layout, mainly panel series 121-043 . They are located on the streets of Yubileinaya, Volochaevskaya, 1st Vyborg.
The development of the microdistrict was not completed due to the economic crisis of the 1990s. As a result, Marievka has vast empty spaces, in some places high-rise buildings are located in the middle of private houses. According to the master plan of Rybinsk, Marievka is considered as a promising area for construction. The private sector should be demolished and built up with apartment buildings, with the exception of the southern part of Oshanin Street [3] . Since the beginning of the 2010s, construction of mid-rise apartment buildings (3-5 floors) with gas-fired apartment heating has been underway in Marievka. On the streets of Volochaevskaya and Nikolai Nevsky new houses are being built with a height of 10 floors; among those already built, there is a 10-story house of the I-1723 series of the ZhilStroyCity company. In the south of Marievka (Oshanin and Nikolai Nevsky Streets), cottages are being built, a protected village is planned to be built from low-rise houses and townhouses [4] .
Infrastructure
In Marievka there are two schools (No. 6, No. 20), 4 kindergartens, DK "Yubileiny", the stadium "Star".
Marievka is far from the main traffic flows, therefore, the trade serves local residents and is represented by grocery stores: supermarkets of the Magnit , Pyaterochka , Druzhba, and Molodezhny supermarkets. At the intersection of Volochaevskaya and Yubileinaya streets, there is the Volochaevsky mini market and the small square shopping center.
Transport
The microdistrict is served by buses No. 10 and No. 12, a trolleybus No. 6, fixed-route taxis No. 180 and No. 23t (on weekdays). Bus number 12 and trolleybus number 6 run quite often, so you can easily get from Marievka to the city center , the NPO Saturn plant and the western part of Rybinsk. Bus routes 15 and 17 run along Batova Avenue.
In the eastern part of Marievka passes General Batov Avenue, in the south overlooking the Rybinsk ring road . In the north direction, the avenue goes into Gorky street and connects Marievka with the Polygraph, the city center and further with the left-bank part of the city through the Rybinsk bridge . Also, the city center from Marievka can be reached along Volochaevskaya street. In 2017, it is planned to extend Volochaevskaya Street with access to the Ring Road [5] .
