Biography
Born April 15, 1874 on a farm in Clark County in Ohio . In 1901 he graduated from Antioch College . From 1902 to 1904 he worked at the US Bureau of Crop Production , while at the same time from 1903 to 1904 he worked at the University of Chicago . From 1904 to 1915 he worked at the Laboratory of Experimental Evolution at Cold Spring Harbor . From 1915 to 1942 he served as professor at Princeton University . Since 1942 - retired.
He died on September 28, 1954 in the United States.
Scientific work
The main scientific works are devoted to the genetics of corn.
- 1916-1925 - founder, publisher and editor of the journal “ Genetics ” ( English ).
