Baron McAndrew of the Firth of Clyde is a hereditary title in the Peerage system of the United Kingdom . It was created on December 8, 1959 for the Scottish unionist politician , Sir Charles Macandrew (1888-1979). He sat in the House of Commons from Kilmarnock (1924–1929), Glasgow Patrick (1931–1935), Bute and North Ayrshire (1935–1959), and also served as chairman of ways and means (1951–1959). Since 2010, the title holder has been his grandson, Christopher Anthony Colin Macandrew, 3rd Baron Macandrew (born 1945 ), who succeeded his father in 1989 .
