Bed-day (from Russian bed + day ) is an economic conditional unit equal to the days of stay of one person occupying a sleeping place (bed). It is used primarily in medicine to account for the work of hospitals of medical institutions , but it is also used to record the activities of hotels , hostels , rest homes , boarding houses , etc. one bed day.
