Short Biography
Before the war, he was chairman of the Rotary Club in Ljubljana . Member of the Communist Party of Slovenia since 1941, then joined the partisan movement. He was arrested in 1942 and remained in prison until the end of the war. After the war, he became the personal physician of Josip Broz Tito . From 1956 to 1958 he was rector of the University of Ljubljana . From 1950 to his death, he was chief secretary of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts . In 1999, stamps depicting Bozidar Lavrich were issued.
