In Kazakhstan
Among the population of the southern regions, women had a great influence and authority. The recognized woman was Arystan-Bab - the mentor of Khoja Ahmet Yassawi . Kazakh Sufi Yskak-Baba people called Bab-Ata. According to academician A. Kh. Margulan , the people called Baba Tukti Shashty Aziz by the name of Bab-ata. The students of Khoja Ahmet Yassaui, who received the title of peasant women, actively preached Islam, Arabic script, built madrasas . Such educational institutions opened in Sauran , Syganak , Otrar , Sairam , Shymkent , Suzak .
