Biography
Pupil kapshagayskogo sport. At first he practiced taekwondo , but at the age of 13 he moved to the wrestling department of the regional youth school. His coach was Adilbek Tusupbekov. Since 2007, Damir has been training with Zhanabay Ospanov, who brought up world champion Bakhtiyar Baiseitov and other strong wrestlers.
Damir twice became the silver and twice bronze medalist of the championship of Kazakhstan, and at the championship of Kazakhstan in 2016, which was held in Taraz , became the champion [1] . In 2017, in the Championship of Kazakhstan in Shymkent, Damir became the champion of the republic, putting the titled fighter Nurmakhan Tynaliyev on the carcass.
The first performance on the international arena at Damir was the 2008 Asian Championship, in Tashkent he became the second among cadets in the category up to 85 kg. In 2011, Damir won the bronze medal at the Asian Championship among juniors in the category up to 120 kg.
In October 2013 he became the silver medalist of the world championship among military personnel.
In 2016, he became the bronze medalist of the Asian Championship, and in 2017 - the silver medalist. In 2019, again became the bronze medalist of the Asian Championship.
