Biography
Born December 21, 1927 in the village of Mitkovo, Smolensk region, now the village is part of the Belsky district of the Tver region. In 1942, the family was evacuated to the Urals, in Kirovgrad , where in 1943 Pelageya graduated from the Kirovgrad vocational school. She finished her studies (grades 9-10) in the 1950s in the evening school of Krasnoturinsk [1] .
Since the summer of 1943, at the age of 15, Pelageya began working at the Theological Aluminum Plant of Krasnoturinsk . Since 1944, she worked at the leaching site of 1 alumina workshop as a repairman. She worked in various working specialties: on pumps, on conveyors, on slag removal. The last ten years of her career has been a spec grinder. In 1976 she retired [2] . After retirement, she worked as a foreman at the 103rd school of Krasnoturinsk [3] .
