Nikola Stoilkovich ( Serb. Nikola Stoјiљkoviћ ; born August 17, 1992, Niš , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian footballer who is a striker of the Boavista club. He played for the national team of Serbia .

Career

Club career

Until 2006, Stoilkovich studied at the Belgrade Partisan football school [1] , from there he transferred to the metropolitan club Rad . Until 2011, Stoilkovich played mainly for the youth squad, only occasionally was involved in games for the club’s main team. The football player’s professional debut took place on May 30, 2009 in the Serbian Super League match against Vojvodina . In the 2011/12 season, Stoilkovic began to play for Rad regularly, made his debut in the Europa League , and scored 5 goals in 19 matches in the Serbian championship.

In January 2013, Stoilkovich moved to Chukarichki , where he immediately became the main striker. Marking 8 goals in 14 matches, he helped the team in the 2012/13 season to take second in the First League and reach the Super League. The following season, the team took fifth place in the Serbian championship and received the right to compete in European competitions. Stoilkovich scored 7 goals that season in 28 Super League games. The 2014/15 season went beyond Chukarichek and Stoilkovich even more successful, the team won the Serbia Cup and took third place in the national championship, and Nikola scored 14 goals in various tournaments. In May 2015, the Belgrade “Partizan” leadership wanted to buy it, the transfer cost of a football player was estimated at 700 thousand euros [2] . Also, “ Crvena Zvezda ” was interested in Stoilkovic, however, the club could not afford to buy a striker due to financial difficulties [3] .

On August 7, 2015, Stoilkovich’s transition to the Portuguese Braga was announced, with which he signed a five-year contract [4] . Nicola made his debut in the Portuguese Championship on August 16, 2015 in a match against Nacional . At first, Stoilkovich was a substitute in Braga, but then he was fixed in the main squad and made up a pair of strikers with the Egyptian Ahmed Hassan . In his first season for Braga, Nicola scored 10 goals in the Portuguese championship and scored three more goals important for the team in the playoffs of the Europa League .

Team appearances

Stoilkovic played for the national team of Serbia until the age of 19 and for the youth team . The latter, he helped to get to the European Championship 2015 , held in the Czech Republic, but he could not take part in the tournament because of an injured knee [5] .

March 23, 2016 Stoilkovic made his debut in the national team of Serbia in a friendly match with the Polish team . He entered the field in the starting lineup and was replaced in the 56th minute [6] .
