Agents Mulder and Scully, who came to investigate the terrible find, suspect the three brothers Peacock, who live in the house on the outskirts, of the deed.

The found bodies of the victims are completely devoid of pigment that stains their skin in dark color. FBI agents make the connection between the killings and the international flight to the United States from Burkina Faso, on board which a similar event occurred.

FBI agents are trying to prevent the mass suicide of members of the Seven Star Church sect in Epison, Tennessee. The main source of information during the investigation is one of the wives of the sect leader, suffering from the "multiple personality" syndrome. During a regressive hypnosis session, Mulder learns from his past life in the US Civil War.

While Mulder is confronted with the harsh Siberian reality, Agent Scully appears before Senate members demanding information about Agent Mulder's whereabouts.
