Junas Eberg (born 1977 ) is a free software developer who calls himself the inspiration for the free world [1] , worked with the European Free Software Foundation [2] , the GNU project [3] , FSCONS [4] , Creative Commons [5] and Shuttleworth Foundation [6] .

Biography
Born on November 22, 1977 in Norrköping.
Eberg began developing software in 1991 and launched his first GNU / Linux operating system in 1993 [7] , after which he eventually joined the GNU project as a webmaster [3] . In the late 1990s, he spent some time working at the computer laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology . There he met with Richard Stallman and other members of the Free Software Foundation , joining them at a conference in New York. [8] Since 2002, he has been a member of the Free Software Foundation Award Committee for the Free Software Award .
In 2001, he was one of the founders of the European Free Software Foundation [2] and on November 22, 2001, became the vice president when former vice president Loic Deshari resigned to focus on GNU Savannah [9] .
After working for several years with Creative Commons (including leading a fundraising course at Peer to Peer University ), in 2011 he became the first regional coordinator for Europe [10] . His work in the organization eventually led him to the position of an employee of the Shuttleworth Foundation , where his work focused on creating tools and prototypes for embedding metadata for licensing requirements and attribution of digital works [11] . His company Commons Machinery was one of 12 winners of Tech All Stars 2014 [12] , organized by the European Commission and Neli Cruz .
Eberg owns a 19th century wooden house in northern Sweden , which he constantly restores [13] and lives in Gnesta, Sweden, near Stockholm . He married Yulia Velkova, she explores the production of open source animated films, the Blender and Synfig communities and is a member of the Bulgarian Internet Society. Their marriage was concluded in an ice hotel in Sweden on March 8, 2013 [14] .
