Ellil-nadin-ahhe (Enlil-nādin-ahe; literally. “ Ellil gave brother” ; or Enlil-šuma-uṣur ( d En-LÍL-MU-ŠEŠ); d BE-MU-ŠEŠ in later texts) - the last the Cassian king of Babylonia , ruled around 1160 - 1157 BC. e.
Ellil-nadin-ahhe led a rebellion against Kutir-Nahhunte and declared himself king of Babylon . The uprising in the country raged for almost three years. Kutir Nahhunte acted even more mercilessly than his father. Babylon and its shrines were destroyed. Ellil-nadin-ahhe was captured and taken to Elam . There, according to the prophecy of Marduk, the new statue of Marduk was also transported, replacing the previous one taken to Assyria by Tukulti-Ninurta I. Soon, Kutir-Nahhunte retired to Elam , apparently to occupy the throne of his deceased father , but an Elam governor remained in Babylon.
