Adad-noise-iddin (lit. “ Adad gave a name” ; d IM-MU-SUM-na) - the Kassite king of Babylonia , ruled around 1224 - 1219 BC. e.
There is no evidence of his kinship with Kadashman-Harbe II or the Kashtiliasha IV family. Apparently, he was overthrown as a result of the Babylonian uprising and replaced by the son of Kashtiliash IV Adad-noise-utsur . It is possible that Adad-noise-utsur was only an Assyrian puppet under the rule of Tukulti-Ninurta I , but later Babylonian rulers recognized his authority as legitimate.
Rules 6 years.
According to Chronicle P, an Elamite invasion of Kiten-Hutran occurred in the rule of Adad-noise-iddin. It is unclear whether the Babylonians wanted in this chronicle to belittle the significance of Assyrian rule or, conversely, the Assyrians exaggeratedly emphasized their power.
