Biography

Joseph Goldman was born in Moscow in a family of doctors.

From 1954 to 1959 he studied at the Moscow Institute of National Economy. G.V. Plekhanov (G.V. Plekhanov Russian University of Economics ) majoring in process engineer, after which he worked at the Institute of Organic Chemistry .

In the 1960s , he worked in the technical propaganda department of the Ministry of Public Services, while at the same time he studied in absentia at the editorial department of Moscow State University of Printing Arts .

Since 1963, began to collaborate with television as a screenwriter. In particular, he was the author of scripts of individual issues and stories for the film magazine " Wick ", television programs " Zucchini" 13 Chairs " ," Club of Cinema Travel "," Morning Post "and other thematic and humorous programs for youth and literary and drama television.

At the same time, he became one of the leading screenwriters of Soviet advertising. He is the author of advertising and documentary films that were sold at the movie studios: Mosfilm , Tsentrnauchfilm , Kievnauchfilm , Lennauchfilm , M. Gorky film studio , EstReklamFilm, Tallinnfilm , Moldova-film and others. For 30 years, he created about 2500 advertising and image films.

Promotional films and scenarios based on scripts by Joseph Goldman have been repeatedly noted at advertising festivals in the USSR and in other countries.

In 1993, he founded his own studio "Unicum", where he created both advertising and documentary films on current topics.

In the early 2000s, he created the IDD studio, in which he is currently a director, producer and screenwriter. At the IDD studio, he created a number of films in a new manner of video collages and installations, on topics that life itself suggests on serious problems of our time. Many of the films have been repeatedly noted at domestic and international festivals. Among them are The Abduction of Europe (first prize at the 2006 Independent Cinema International Festivals in New York and Los Angeles ) and Sweet Death (first prize at the 2008 Independent Cinema International Festivals in New York and Los Angeles).

Films of Joseph Adolfovich Goldman were shown on Russian and foreign television channels.

Member of the committee of Moscow playwrights, vice-president of the Union of hairdressers and cosmetologists of Russia .
