Seliba ( Belorussian. Sialiba ) is an agricultural town in the Berezinsky district of the Minsk region of Belarus , part of the Kaplanetsky village council (until 2013 - the center of the Selibsky village council ). The population of 294 people (2009) [1] .

Geography
The agro-town is located near the border with the Mogilev region , 25 km south of the district center, the city of Berezino . Seliba stands on the small river Zhalinka (a tributary of the Berezina ), Berezina itself flows two kilometers to the west. The agro-town is connected by local roads with the surrounding settlements. The nearest railway station is Grodzianka (20 km to the south-west).
History
The village has been known since 1858 [2] ; it belonged to the Igumen district of the Minsk province . At the end of the XIX century had a significant Jewish population. In 1917, the village had 75 yards, 459 residents and a post office. In 1936, a club with 300 seats was opened in the building of the former synagogue.
During the Great Patriotic War, Bogushevichi was under German occupation from July 1941 to July 1944. Most of the Jewish population of the village was killed in the Bogushevichi ghetto (see the Holocaust in the Berezinsky district (Minsk region) ). Fragments of a Jewish cemetery were preserved in Selib [3] .
